Lecture held in Science Center in the CUNY Graduate Center (4th floor).

Abstract: In the field of additive combinatorics, sum-difference sets and subset sums have been extensively investigated. However, the properties and behavior of the so-called consecutive sums of sequences represent a significantly less explored area. My talk addresses this gap by discussing both old results and recent developments concerning consecutive sums, highlighting their connections to Sidon sequences and convex sequences. Finally, we will conclude the talk by outlining several open questions and problems.
